Loneliness Public Discourse Series

The Public Discourse Series on Loneliness is a part of the Community Heals Us coalition, presented in collaboration with AMK Counseling. Launching in April 2025, this series will explore how loneliness affects individuals and communities, why it has become more widespread, and how we can rebuild real connections in an increasingly disconnected world.

Understanding Loneliness: A Collective Challenge

Loneliness isn’t just about being alone—it’s about feeling disconnected from those around us. It can affect new parents, young adults, working professionals, and older adults alike, shaping everything from mental health to community trust and civic engagement.

In today’s world, where digital connection is instant but meaningful connection is harder to find, we need new ways to foster belonging—in our homes, workplaces, and communities. This public discourse series will unpack the causes of loneliness and spark conversations on how we can address it together.
